When may Torso LipoSculpture not be suitable?

August 22, 2026

Torso LipoSculpture is an advanced contouring procedure focused on reshaping the upper body – chest, abdomen, flanks, and lower back – by selectively removing fat and refining natural lines to achieve a more defined and balanced torso. It targets the front and sides of the torso along with the lower back; the upper back is not part of this procedure's treatment area.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

The procedure may not be suitable if:

  • Overall body fat remains high and weight loss is still the main goal.
  • Medical conditions significantly increase the risk of anaesthesia or surgery.
  • Skin elasticity in the torso is severely compromised, limiting the ability to adapt after fat removal.
  • The patient expects extreme muscle visibility or a bodybuilder physique that does not match their build or lifestyle.

In such cases, other strategies – such as weight management, non-surgical options, or adjusted expectations – are usually discussed before considering torso sculpting.

INDICATIONS

Torso LipoSculpture is generally considered for patients who:

  • Have localized fat in the torso that blurs the waistline or upper body shape despite weight control efforts.
  • Have gynecomastia — enlarged breast tissue in men caused by excess fat, enlarged breast glands, or a combination of both, and want a flatter, more masculine chest contour as part of overall torso refinement.
  • Want to improve the transition between chest and abdomen and achieve a more athletic-looking torso.
  • Have reached or are close to a stable weight but feel that the central body still looks bulky or undefined.
  • Seek contour refinement rather than drastic changes in size.

This procedure suits individuals who wish to visibly upgrade the appearance of their upper body while maintaining a realistic, age-appropriate look.
