ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

Breast fat transfer involves harvesting fat from areas such as the abdomen, waist, back, or thighs, purifying it, and carefully placing it into the breasts. The procedure therefore combines contouring of the donor areas with natural breast volume enhancement in one surgical plan.Breast

This option is designed for patients seeking a subtle to moderate increase in breast volume, not a dramatic change in cup size. It may also help improve mild-to-moderate asymmetry or restore softness and fullness after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss, depending on tissue quality and available donor fat.Breast

  • Natural, moderate breast volume enhancement
  • Uses the patient’s own fat instead of implants
  • Contours donor areas while improving breast fullness
  • May improve mild asymmetry or restore lost volume

INDICATIONS

Want a moderate increase in breast volume, often in the range of approximately half to one cup size.
Have enough donor fat that can be safely collected from areas such as the abdomen, thighs, or back.
Have lost breast fullness after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss.
Have mild to moderate asymmetry between the breasts.
Prefer their own tissue rather than synthetic implants.
Are in good general health and maintain a reasonably stable weight.
Understand that some transferred fat is naturally absorbed and that final volume develops gradually.Breast

CONTRAINDICATIONS

There is insufficient donor fat because of very low body fat or limited donor areas.
The desired size increase is greater than can reasonably be achieved with fat transfer alone.
Weight is unstable, pregnancy is planned soon, or major body changes are expected.
Uncontrolled medical conditions, bleeding disorders, or wound-healing concerns increase surgical risk.
The patient smokes and cannot follow the recommended cessation requirements before surgery.
There are unexplained breast lumps, cysts, or changes that require evaluation first.
Expectations do not account for partial fat absorption or the possible need for an additional session.Breast

HOW THE PROCEDURE WORKS

[ 05 ]

Assessment and planning

The process begins with an assessment of breast shape, desired fullness, symmetry, skin quality, and the donor areas available for fat harvesting. The aim is to achieve volume that suits chest width and body proportions, rather than overfilling the breast with an unsuitable quantity of fat.

Fat harvesting and purification

  • Fat is collected from selected donor areas through small access points using fine cannulas.
  • The harvested fat is purified and separated from blood, fluid, and material not suitable for transfer.
  • The appropriate fat is prepared for grafting while preserving its quality as much as possible.Breast

Fat placement in the breast

  • Purified fat is placed in selected points and tissue layers for even distribution and a natural feel.
  • The technique is designed to improve fullness, symmetry, and smooth transitions within the breast tissue.
  • Long, blunt-tip cannulas are used to distribute fat precisely.Breast

Postoperative phase

  • A surgical bra is worn as directed to support the breasts during early recovery.
  • Temporary bruising and swelling may occur in both the donor areas and the breasts.
  • Sleeping on the back, avoiding direct pressure on the breasts, and avoiding heavy lifting are recommended initially.
  • Follow-up appointments monitor healing, fat retention, and the gradual development of breast shape.Breast

RESULT

An early increase in fullness is visible after treatment, but final volume takes several months to stabilize because of normal swelling and the natural absorption of some transferred fat. As the surviving fat integrates into the recipient tissue, the breasts develop a softer, more natural, and more balanced appearance.Breast

The objective of breast fat transfer is measured, natural enhancement of volume and proportion, not the largest possible size. Stable weight and adherence to recovery guidance support fat retention and long-term results.

  • Natural fullness and progressive improvement in breast shape
  • Final result develops gradually over several months
  • Partial fat absorption is expected during healing
  • Some patients may require an additional session to reach the desired volume
