Otoplasty (Ear Surgery) results: realistic expectations and consultation planning

Otoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to improve the shape, size, or position of the ears, particularly for prominent or asymmetrical ears, creating a more balanced and natural relationship with the face.

RESULT

Improved ear position and shape are visible after surgery, but initial swelling may mask part of the result. Over the following weeks and months, the ears settle into their new position and look more natural and balanced with the face.

The goal is ears that sit closer to the head or are more harmonious in shape while preserving a natural appearance and avoiding over-correction. A small natural difference between the ears may remain, as exact symmetry is not a realistic surgical goal.

After surgery
