Bra Lift: what to expect before, during and after the procedure
August 22, 2026
A bra lift is a surgical procedure designed to remove loose skin and visible folds from the upper back and sides along the bra line, creating a smoother and more balanced back contour.
ABOUT THE PROCEDURE
A bra lift focuses on excess skin and folds in the upper back and side areas, often referred to as bra rolls. These folds may develop after substantial weight loss or loss of skin elasticity and can remain visible even when body weight is stable.
The procedure is not intended to remove fat alone. It addresses redundant skin that may not respond to exercise or liposuction when significant laxity is present. Excess skin and tissue are removed from the upper back and sides, then the remaining tissues are tightened to improve the way the back looks beneath clothing and around the bra line.
- Removes loose skin and folds along the bra line
- Improves the contour of the upper back and sides
- Treats skin laxity after significant weight loss
- Scar is typically planned to sit within the bra line
