ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

With age or significant weight loss, the face gradually loses natural fat that supports a youthful, full appearance. This can cause hollow cheeks, sunken temples, or sharper-than-usual facial contours. A facial fat graft addresses this volume loss by harvesting fat from another area of the body, purifying it, and precisely injecting it into selected facial areas to restore natural fullness.Liposuction

The procedure achieves two goals: refining the donor area (such as the abdomen or thighs) and adding natural volume to the face using the patient’s own tissue. No synthetic fillers are used, and the result depends on the quality of the transferred fat and the precision of its placement across different facial layers.Liposuction

  • Restores natural volume to the cheeks, temples, and under-eye area
  • Uses the patient’s own fat instead of fillers
  • Refines the donor area while enhancing the face simultaneously
  • Fat is placed in multiple layers for a harmonious result

INDICATIONS

Notice hollowing of the cheeks or temples with age or after significant weight loss.
Want to improve facial fullness with a natural look rather than temporary fillers.
Have enough donor fat that can be safely harvested from another body area.
Are seeking a longer-lasting result compared with resorbable fillers.
Are in good general health and maintain a reasonably stable weight.
Understand that some transferred fat may be absorbed and that the final result develops gradually.Liposuction

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Very low body fat limits the amount of donor fat available for transfer.
Weight is unstable or significant weight change is planned soon.
Uncontrolled medical conditions, bleeding disorders, or healing concerns increase surgical risk.
The patient smokes and cannot follow cessation requirements before surgery.
There are unexplained lumps, cysts, or changes in the donor or injection areas.
Expectations do not account for partial fat absorption or a possible additional session.Liposuction

HOW THE PROCEDURE WORKS

[ 05 ]

Assessment and planning

The process begins with assessment of facial shape, areas of volume loss, and skin quality. The surgeon determines the amount of fat needed and the most suitable donor site, planning a precise distribution that considers overall facial harmony rather than a single isolated area.

Fat harvesting and purification

  • Fat is collected from a suitable donor area through small access points using fine cannulas.
  • The harvested fat is purified and separated from blood, fluid, and material not suitable for transfer.
  • The prepared fat is used for injection while preserving its quality as much as possible.Liposuction

Fat injection into the face

  • Fat is injected in very small amounts and multiple layers using fine needles or cannulas designed for facial work.
  • The technique aims for symmetrical distribution and smooth transitions between injected areas and surrounding tissue.
  • The plan may include the cheeks, temples, or hollow areas around the eyes, depending on the case.Liposuction

After the procedure

  • Mild-to-moderate swelling and bruising are expected in both the donor and facial areas.
  • Direct pressure on the face should be avoided during the first days.
  • Cold compresses may be used as needed to reduce swelling.
  • Follow-up appointments monitor fat stability and the gradual development of facial contour.Liposuction

RESULT

An early improvement in facial fullness is visible right after the procedure, but the final result takes time because of normal swelling and the absorption of some transferred fat during the first months. As the surviving fat integrates with surrounding tissue, the face appears fuller and more naturally harmonious.Liposuction

The goal is to restore balance to facial features, not to create an exaggerated change in shape. Maintaining a stable weight helps support the longevity of the result.

  • Natural fullness in the cheeks, temples, and under-eye area
  • Gradual improvement as fat stabilizes over the first months
  • Partial fat absorption is an expected part of healing
  • Longer-lasting result compared with temporary fillers
